For some 20 years now we've also performed at a fund-raising Charity Christmas Carol Evening at Dobbies' Garden World, Birtley, choosing a different Charity each year - and this has developed over time into a very popular event, supported by hundreds of people, In December 2007, just over £2,000 was raised (with the help of £750 matched funding from Barclays Bank) and this was handed over to the Great North Air Ambulance Trust.
The Choir's Honorary Secretary (Ron Wilson) would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like the Choir to provide a Concert. We are pretty well fully booked for 2009, but there are still some dates available during 2010.
We do not specify a "Fee" - as we are aware that many of the organisations who ask us to sing are raising funds for one reason or another - but we would welcome a reasonable donation towards the cost of music etc.
